A pioneering project in the city of Macaé, Startup Macaé works as an “innovation hub”: a space created to connect entrepreneurs, large research companies, mentors and investors, generating synergy between these actors. 
The Program works as an interface in the exchange of knowledge between the university, society and the market, with the objective of supporting and stimulating the development of innovative ideas, projects and businesses that meet the technological demands of the market and society.

In this sense, Startup Macaé is characterized in three dimensions:
- Promoter of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem;
- Environment for business development and connection;
- Startup incubation and acceleration program, providing mentoring and consulting.
