The 2nd edition of the event, in 2017 , took place at the CRIOs laboratory, being won by the startup 17 Mais.
The 4th edition, in 2019, was held during “StartupON”, in partnership with ABStartups, Macaé Startup Program, Sebrae, and support from companies in the region. This time the Challenge awarded 05 categories: Outstanding Startup (Sustainable T&D), Entrepreneurial Personality (Camillo Torquato), Entrepreneurial Teacher (Carlos Bazilio), Outstanding Public Servant (José Manoel Alvitos) and Outstanding Company in Open Innovation (Ocyan).

The 1st edition of the Entrepreneurial Challenge was held in 2016 , in the Entrepreneurship discipline of the Engineering courses at UFRJ-Macaé
In 2018 , the 3rd edition of the Entrepreneurial Challenge brought together the participants of the CRIO incubation cycle, being won by Enne Chocolate.
In 2020, the 5th edition was held remotely, in partnership with Sebrae, and this time included 05 categories: Outstanding Startup (Nextale), Entrepreneurial Personality (Thiago Lopes), Entrepreneur Professor (Carlos Bazilio), Outstanding Company in Open Innovation (Petrobras), and the new category, Outstanding Project in Combating COVID-19 (Covid-19 Research and Diagnosis Campaign Laboratory in Macaé, by NUPEM).
